Notes
Storage: Allow the butter chicken to cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container. It can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. For freezing, consider portioning it into smaller containers for easier thawing and reheating.
Reheating: To reheat, thaw frozen butter chicken overnight in the refrigerator. Warm it gently on the stove over low heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through. You can also microwave it in short intervals, stirring in between, to prevent uneven heating.
Serving: Serve the creamy butter chicken hot over fluffy rice or with warm naan bread for a complete meal. For an extra touch, garnish with additional chopped cilantro and a squeeze of fresh lime juice to enhance the flavors.
Chef’s Tip: For an extra layer of flavor, consider marinating the chicken in yogurt and spices for a couple of hours before cooking. This not only tenderizes the meat but also infuses it with rich flavors that complement the creamy sauce.
