Notes

Storage: Store any leftover ham and cheese puff pastry bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the unbaked bites on a baking sheet, then transfer them to a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months. When ready to use, bake directly from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.

Reheating: To reheat leftover puff pastry bites, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the bites on a baking sheet and heat for about 10-15 minutes, or until warmed through and crispy. Avoid microwaving, as this can make the pastry soggy.

Serving: Serve the deliciously crunchy ham and cheese puff pastry bites warm as an appetizer or snack. They pair wonderfully with a dipping sauce such as marinara or a garlic aioli for added flavor. Consider garnishing with fresh herbs for an attractive presentation.

Chef’s Tip: For an extra burst of flavor, experiment with adding herbs or spices to the filling, such as chopped fresh basil or a pinch of red pepper flakes. Additionally, brushing the tops with a bit of the egg wash before baking will give them a beautiful golden color and an appealing shine.
