  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil

Instructions

  2. Add your chosen pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Drain the pasta and set aside, reserving about half a cup of pasta water.
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil.
  5. Add 3 cloves of minced garlic and one cup of diced bell peppers to the skillet.
  6. Sauté until fragrant and softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Pour in one cup of heavy cream and two tablespoons of Cajun seasoning into the skillet.
  8. Stir well to combine and let simmer gently until it thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
  9. Gently fold in one pound of lump crab meat into the creamy sauce.
  10. Allow the crab to heat through for another couple of minutes.
  11. Add the drained pasta into the skillet with the sauce.
  12. Toss everything together until well coated.

Notes

Storage: Store any leftover flavorful crab pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Ensure the pasta is cooled to room temperature before sealing the container to prevent condensation and sogginess.

Reheating: To reheat, gently warm the pasta in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of the reserved pasta water or a bit of cream to maintain the sauce’s consistency. Stir occasionally until heated through, being careful not to overcook the crab.

Serving: Serve the crab pasta hot, garnished with chopped green onions for a fresh touch. Pair it with a crisp side salad or garlic bread to complement the rich flavors of the dish.

Chef’s Tip: For an extra kick, consider adding a splash of lemon juice or a sprinkle of cayenne pepper just before serving. This enhances the Cajun flavors and brightens the dish, making it even more vibrant and delicious.
